All Box headsets are engineered and crafted using our Oversized Technology. As we follow the load paths down the handlebars, through the stem-to-bar interface, we arrive at the headset focal point. Since any steering stiffness can easily be lost to headset play, we have concentrated our attention on manufacturing tolerances and quality of materials for the bearing, CNC bearing cover, and crown race. Now that this junction is steadfast you can rest assured that your cockpit’s steering stiffness will transfer onto the fork. When combined with Box’s other Oversized components, you’ll experience heightened responsiveness and reduced latency. Key differences: In this particular model headset we’ve gone to a 1.5” bottom race to fill a tapered head tube. This mates with our oversized X5 carbon fork. Larger and smoother contact areas spread the load effectively and counteract flex. Not only is the shifter mechanism joyfully simplified, but fewer shifts are needed for every mile of travel. And the best part is? The Box Four Rear Derailleur is the base of Prime 9 Technology that offers an affordable clutch based 1 by 8-speed derailleur that is simple and light; this makes it a perfect candidate for every entry-level bike that traditionally has a 3 by drive-train that is neither durable nor user friendly.

The Box Three Brake is available in 85mm with short reach lever or 108mm with long reach lever. They include two-tone, dual-compound pads that feature a unique finned design that helps improve airflow. The Philips head tension screws aid installation and makes toe-in adjustments simple and easy. Box Three V-Point Brake Levers are the most versatile levers in the entire Box family. All Box stems are engineered and crafted using our Oversized Technology. As we follow the load paths down the handlebars we have focused our attention on the stem-to-bar interface. Since the Oversized handlebars have an increased wall thickness and tube diameter in this sector we have reciprocated with an augmented stem interface with greater surface area. We’ve done this by moving material from low stress areas. This has greatly minimized twist and contributed to responsiveness. As the stem in mated with the handlebars we have contributed to increased pedaling stiffness by providing a backstop to the “lifting” phenomenon. There is no point pushing hard on your pedals if you can’t pull up on your handlebars and deliver that power. Power can easily be lost to handlebar-to-stem deflection and the consequences can be poor power delivery and steering control. When combined with Box’s other Oversized components, you’ll experience heightened responsiveness and reduced latency. Key differences: This particular model stem pushes our Oversized Technology to the extreme as it maximizes the shift of material from low stress zones to the Oversized interface. Adding an extra tooth to each of the three highest gears provides increased durability and decreased wear by distributing the load over a larger area! The Box Three E-bike cassette draws from both of its Box One and Box Two siblings to create a sensible all-rounder. All cogs are stamped from steel and subsequently, the larger ones are pinned to steel spiders. The main difference here versus Box Two is the use of additional weight-reducing holes on the cogs. Box One Genius brake levers are the first ever to incorporate a clamp for ODI Lock-On grips. This ensures that your grips stay put while eliminating the need for an extra clamp. At roughly 50 grams, these cold-forged and CNC-machined levers beat any other on the market. Genius levers have a built-in return spring and are fully compatible with carbon handlebars. The Mid reach lever features a new design that puts it in the same reach position as the Long, but with a more BMX-specific blade for better one-finger leverage. Other features include adjustable reach, a titanium mounting bolt, and stainless steel hardware. Genius levers are designed to work with linear-pull brakes. They are excellent for BMX, mountain, city, urban, and tandem flat-bar bicycles.

The Box Three Rear Derailleur simplifies the features found on the Prime 9 Box One and Two rear derailleurs making for a fully featured wallet friendly rear derailleur. Including a Limited Slip Clutch, Sealed bearing pulleys and a solid construction Box Three Rear derailleurs are compatible with 11-46 and 11-50t derailleurs making it one of the most versatile derailleur offerings for Prime 9.

Tested extensively by the Dutch National BMX Team, Damien Godet, Kory Cook, and numerous other elite racers, Box Two™ Freewheels combine durability with lightning-fast engagement. They feature nine, super durable pawls and are available in one of three choices -- 16, 17, or 18 teeth. To install, use the Park Tools™ FR-6 or other installation tool designed for single-speed freewheels with four notches that are approximately 32mm across measured inside to inside and 40mm outside to outside. For Box braking we’ve limited the use of our Oversized Technology to the V area since the levers need to be minimalist and largely act as a remote for the V-Brakes. To reduce lateral deflection at the V we chose to enlarge the pivot areas and arms while tightening tolerances at their interfaces. We robbed material from unloaded sections to reinforce these zones of high stress. Not only are you going to be more efficient with brake power delivery, but you’ll also feel the instant response of deceleration. Key differences: The Box One V-Brake are the only brakes in the Box line-up to be blessed with Oversized Technology. They are also the only model to use sealed precision bearings to further reduce non-rotational movement. The 108mm long-reach brakes are excellent for BMX, mountain, city, urban and tandem bicycles using linear-pull-compatible levers. The 85-mm short reach (AKA mini-V) brakes are an excellent choice for cyclocross or drop-bar gravel bikes.

The Box Two Prime 9 Rear Derailleur is very similar to the Box One version however, to be more wallet friendly, it offers a non adjustable Tri-Pack Clutch, bushing pulleys and some muted finishes. Box Two rear derailleurs are still optimized for 11-50t cassettes and offer durability and performance for the most demanding terrain, just at lower price!

With precision sealed bearings and cold-forged, aluminum CNC machined cups, the Box One™ Titanium Square Taper bottom brackets are the best option for young BMX racers and other users. It is a three-piece crank in search of performance gains and weight savings. They have hollow, custom titanium-nitride-coated titanium spindles and carbon fiber center seals, helping keep the weight down between 185 and 190 grams (well below that of other square taper bottom brackets on the market).
